The Season of Building

If you’ve been following along lately, you’ve probably noticed something.

I’ve been posting a little bit of everything.

Artwork.

Sticker designs.

Business branding.

Horse trailer graphics.

Cabin projects.

Book writing.

Ideas that seem completely unrelated…

From the outside, it probably looks like I’m bouncing from one project to the next.

The funny thing is…I’m actually doing the opposite.

For the first time in a long time, everything is pointing in the same direction.

I’ve spent years trying to figure out how all of my interests fit together. I always felt like I had too many ideas and not enough boxes to put them in.

Now I’m realizing they were never supposed to fit into separate boxes.

They’re all pieces of the same ecosystem.

The Rad Menagerie has always been about creativity without unnecessary rules. That’s becoming more true every day.

Right now I’m working on custom illustrations and decals, especially horse and rider designs that celebrate the bond between people and their animals. Those projects have opened the door to helping small businesses create logos, signs, graphics, and marketing materials that actually feel like them.

At the same time, I’m beginning work on something much more personal.

I’ve started writing my first book, The Process of Becoming.

It’s part memoir, part journal, part collection of lessons learned through rebuilding myself after some difficult seasons of life. It’s easily the most vulnerable project I’ve ever attempted, and I have no idea exactly where it will lead. I just know it needs to exist.

There’s another adventure beginning, too.

For my birthday, I’m getting a new sewing machine, and I’m diving into an entirely new set of skills. My goal is to design wallets, bags, and eventually learn tailoring and swimwear construction. I’ve always loved making things with my hands, and I can’t wait to see where that journey takes me.

Outside the studio, you’ll also find me covered in dirt, sawdust, or paint.

My family is slowly transforming a cabin beside Daniel Boone National Forest into what we hope becomes an unforgettable destination someday. Every stone path, water feature, renovation, and crazy idea is becoming part of a bigger story called Daniel Boone Adventures.

It’s ambitious.

It’s occasionally chaotic.

And honestly…I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One thing ties all of these projects together.

I’m building a life where creativity isn’t squeezed into evenings after work. I’m building something sustainable. Multiple streams of income that all support each other. A business that lets me spend more time creating, learning, and sharing that process with all of you.

So if my feed seems a little all over the place for a while…

It’s because you’re watching the foundation being poured.

Some projects will succeed.

Some will fail spectacularly.

Most will teach me something I couldn’t have learned any other way.

And I’ll be sharing all of it.
